UniKeep 2008 Design Contest Winners Announced
Winners Receive Cash Prizes Totaling $12,000
MARYSVILLE, OH, February 06, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- UniKeep LLC, a Univenture company, announced today the "Best of Show" and "Best of Category" winners for the 2008 UniKeep Fifth Annual Design Contest. The Best of Show winner was awarded a $1,500 cash prize and each Best of Category winner received a $500 cash prize. New for the 2008 contest was a Quarterly Bonus Category for which each winner received a $500 cash prize.
"We had very creative and well designed entries for our 2008 contest," said Ross Youngs, CEO of UniKeep and inventor of the UniKeep View Case Binder . "The graphic designers entering the UniKeep Design Contest have the ability to come up with not only great design ideas, but also creative ideas for using the UniKeep View Case Binder. For our 2009 Bonus Categories, graphic designers can use their imagination and submit creative designs for a variety of our unique eco-friendly products - it will be exciting to see the one-of-a-kind entries this year!"
Janina Boesch is the 2008 Best of Show winner for her "Alpine Skiing" entry, which also won Best of Category in Sports. A New York City-based artist and designer, Boesch works as a full-time web and interaction designer. The judges remarked that the winning entry exemplifies what the contest is ultimately about - fine and original design.
"I tried to capture the sense of excitement and speed experienced while going downhill in this montage of skiing scenes and mountains," said Boesch about her winning design. "While I love working with clients, I also enjoy competing in the UniKeep Design Awards Contest. It's a totally different challenge. I was lucky to win the Best of Show last year and I can't believe that I won it again!"
UniKeep Design Contest sponsors for 2008 were Scrapbooking & Beyond and Create & Decorate magazines. Judges for the contest were Judi Kauffman, a nationally-known designer, writer and teacher, Jane Guthrie, Editor of Scrapbooking & Beyond magazine, and Natalie Rhinesmith, Technology Features Editor for All American Crafts, a multi-title publishing company. Winning entries will be announced in the February Issue of UniKeep eNews.

The "Sixth Annual UniKeep Design Contest" for 2009 is currently underway. The 2009 UniKeep Design Contest offers monthly, quarterly and annual Best of Show and Best of Category cash prizes and a free annual subscription to Scrapbooking & Beyond and Paper Creations to all winners. Best of Show and Best of Category winners will receive Wacom Intuos3 Pen Tablet prizes. Additionally, the first 25 entries each month receive a free UniKeep View Case Binder with the entrant's printed artwork inserted.
